The main effect of sunscreen is to protect the skin from ultraviolet (UV) rays, especially UVA and UVB. It can:
- Prevent sunburn: UVB is the main cause of sunburn, causing skin to become red, painful, and even peel. The active ingredient in sunscreen absorbs or reflects UVB rays, thereby reducing damage to the skin.
- Prevent skin aging: UVA penetrates deeper into the skin, damaging collagen and elastic fibers, leading to aging, wrinkles, and sagging. Long-term use of sunscreen effectively reduces UVA damage and delays skin aging.
- Reduces the risk of skin cancer: Prolonged exposure to sunlight, especially intense UV rays, increases the risk of skin cancer. Sunscreen reduces this risk by limiting direct UV exposure to the skin.
- Eye protection: The delicate skin around the eyes is vulnerable to UV damage, which can lead to eye problems. Applying sunscreen around the eyes provides extra protection.
- Maintain an even skin tone: UV rays can cause uneven pigmentation, leading to sunspots and freckles. Sunscreen helps reduce UV-induced pigmentation and maintains an even skin tone.
Sunscreens with SPF 30+++ are gentle and suitable for those who do not require prolonged outdoor exposure, such as office workers and students.

How to use sunscreen
Cleanse your skin: Cleanse your skin thoroughly with warm water and a cleanser that suits your skin type to remove oil and dirt.
Moisturizing: Use moisturizing products such as toners and lotions before applying sunscreen to provide adequate moisture and nutrients to your skin and avoid dry skin.
Apply sunscreen
Timing: It is recommended to apply sunscreen 20-30 minutes before going out so that the skin can fully absorb and form a protective film.
Dosage: When applying sunscreen, make sure you use enough sunscreen. In general, the amount of the whole face is about the size of a dollar coin, and it needs to be applied evenly to all exposed areas, including the face, neck, arms, etc.
Reapply: If you are outdoors for a long time or sweat a lot, it is recommended to reapply sunscreen every 2-3 hours to maintain the sun protection effect.
Precautions
Don't miss areas: When applying sunscreen, don't leave out areas that are easy to overlook, such as ears, backs of hands, and ankles.
Avoid contact with eyes: Be careful when applying sunscreen to avoid it getting into your eyes and causing discomfort.
Choose a waterproof sunscreen: If you're planning to swim or sweat a lot, choose a waterproof sunscreen and reapply it after swimming or sweating.
Makeup remover: When you get home in the evening, you should use a makeup remover to thoroughly cleanse your skin of sunscreen residue so as not to clog pores or cause other skin problems.
